SOCAP - Social Capital Markets Conference
What: In 2011, I was part of the Design For Social Innovation track of the Social Capital Markets Conference. As part of a group of 24 designers from leading product and service innovation firms and educational programs.
Process: I assisted and co-facilitated 2 design sessions with Joy Anderson on Systems Change and John Kohler on Rewriting the Term Sheet for Impact Investment, exploring questions like what forms of alternative capital work best for Social Enterprises? How should philanthropy be a part of impact fund structure?
Participants included Austin Center for Design, Stanford Center for Social Innovation, Union Square Ventures, Hot Studio, Cronan, Design for America, Design that Matters, ThinkImpact, Catapult Design, Free Range Studios, SVA MFA Design for Social Innovation, IDEO.org, Mayo Clinic, The Empowerment Plan, Public Workshop, D-Rev, Fuse Project, Lulan Artisans and Central.
