“Change your Mind. Change the World.
The work of the Center is rooted in the breakthrough insights of neuroplasticity - the discovery that our brains change throughout our lives in response to experience, suggesting that positive changes can be nurtured through mental training.”
Center for Investigating Healthy Minds
The Center’s is studying whether and how contemplative traditions can physically change our brains and also help us live healthier, happier lives. They also have a commitment to study these different practices beyond the walls of a laboratory, employing a dual-focus of both basic and translational research.
Change your body. Change the world. I wonder if we could take this research approach into the connection between breadth and movement, rhythm and spatial awareness, essentially, yoga and dance, what I call the active forms of meditation.
